王石平,女,博士,1955年生,湖北省武汉市人,汉族,华中农业大学生命科学技术学院教授,植物基因组和生物化学与分子生物学专业博士生导师。1986年获英国爱丁堡大学硕士学位;1994年获美国弗吉尼亚理工学院博士学位。目前主要从事水稻和病原互作过程中的遗传和分子生物学基础以及重要抗性基因的利用方面的研究。所开展的研究工作获得国家自然科学基金、973计划、863计划、转基因生物新品种培育科技重大专项等的资助。近年来作为通讯作者在Genes & DevelopmentCurrent Opinion in Plant BiologyPlant CellPlant JournalPlant PhysiologyPlant, Cell and Environment GeneticsMolecular Plant-Microbe InteractionSCI源杂志上发表一系列学术论文、获得授权发明专利12项。主要社会兼职有:政协湖北省第九、十届委员会常委、《中国科学C辑:生命科学》杂志编委。

 

研究方向
 

水稻是世界上的主要粮食作物。病害是影响水稻生产的主要限制因素之一。药物防治不仅成本高,还造成环境污染和食物污染。采用各种技术途径、利用优良抗性基因资源改良水稻品种是减轻病害损失最经济有效又环保的措施。而优良抗性基因资源的确定和高效利用却取决于人们水稻抗病机理的深入了解。针对这一问题,我们课题组主要开展以下几个方面的研究:

1)发掘、鉴定和分离克隆调控水稻质量抗性和数量抗性的优良基因,研究抗性基因的功能,探索高效利用抗性基因资源改良水稻的途径。

2)鉴定水稻抗病信号传导路径,研究抗病分子机理。

    (3)发掘、鉴定和分离能够被多种水稻病原诱导的启动子和启动子上的病原反应调控元件,开发和合成能够用于水稻抗性改良的优良启动子。
